The Nursing Adaptation Evaluation method (NSGAE) is presented as a means by which psychiatric nurses can explicate and articulate their practice by, among other strategies, evaluating the effectiveness of nursing care. Having a method for evaluating patient improvement facilitates the evaluation of nursing care and, ultimately, contributes to an expansion of our theoretical base.
