“As our nation begins the third century, the American dream of equality and opportunity for all must become more than empty rhetoric. The mental health professions — psychiatric nursing in particular — must make a commitment to provide equal quality health care … to all ethnic minority families in the United States. To do otherwise is unconscionable, unethical, morally reprehensible, and un‐American.”
