Summary Interleukin‐4 ( IL4 ) polymorphisms (rs2243250, rs2070874) were analysed in Korean patients with ischaemic stroke (IS) ( n = 119) and intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) ( n = 79), and age‐matched controls ( n =267, IS; n = 401, ICH) using direct sequencing. Both single nucleotide polymorphisms and their haplotypes were associated with ICH, but not IS.
