SUMMARY By means of immunoperoxidase staining of frozen sections 100 primary colorectal carcinomas and 19 metastases were studied for the expression of HLA‐A,B,C antigens. A substantial number of the tumours showed a deficient class I expression. The loss of HLA‐A,B,C correlated with the degree of de‐differentiation.
