SUMMARY Gm and Km immunoglobulin allotypes were studied in 46 Caucasian patients with Charcot‐Marie‐Tooth disease (CMT). No significant association of Gm and Km phenotypes with CMT was found. Family studies revealed that Gm haplotypes and CMT were not inherited together, thus arguing against the involvement of immunoglobulin allotypes in CMT.
