SUMMARY The monoclonal antibody, GERO, agglutinated all samples of red cells with the exception of Gerbich‐negative cells of both Ge and Yus types. Using the antiglobulin test, Gerbich‐negative cells reacted as strongly with GERO as did Gerbich‐positive cells.
