SUMMARY Two murine monoclonal antibodies (E11‐1 and MR4‐130) agglutinated all samples of human red cells except those of the Ge (‐1, ‐2, ‐3) phenotype. It was possible to demonstrate that these antibodies recognize two different epitopes of the Gerbich antigen.
