SUMMARY In continuation of earlier investigations the determinant structure of human fibrin‐stabilizing factor (factor XIII) was analysed by comparative determinant analysis (CDA). Two determinants, P 1 and A were distinguished; P 1 is shared with all subhuman primates studied, while it is missing on all non‐primate homologues. A is found on both primate and non‐primate homologues. The possible presence of an additional network determinant is discussed. There is no human species‐specific determinant.
