I acknowledge standing on Darbalung Nyumgar land for the presentation of this discussion. Moore (1998) reminds us of the importance of our own particular positions. In my case, this is the position of an academic gerontologist and activist who lives and works in Australia. I am also a partner, mother and grandmother.
