Objective : To explore the caring experiences of female caregivers. Method : In‐depth interviews were conducted on 30 females caring for an older relative at home. Results : Conflict was a significant outcome of caregiving. Stress, role conflict, imbalance in equity, and imbalance in norms and values emerged as major themes. Conclusion: This study, along with a few related studies, may help to form a new basis for the study of caregiving with an emphasis mainly on conflict.
