ABSTRACT Physical educators are playing an important role in the rehabilitation of aged clients within a day hospital in South Australia. Many varied and previously unavailable rehabilitation activities have characterised their approach to specific problems and the general restoration of physical fitness amongst referred clients. The physical educator's place within a multidisciplinary team setting is now fundamental in the provision of physical rehabilitation services.
