This article describes the establishment of a small residents' group at the Perry Park Nursing Home, the purpose of which was to provide the residents with the opportunity for some say in matters affecting their lives and environment. The article discusses the major issues that became evident as the group developed, how these were dealt with and what was learned from them. The authors believe that their findings will be useful for others who plan to establish similar groups.
