Summary In 1975, the writer carried out a pilot study on the change of attitudes, the perception of self and of others, interactional behaviour and learning outcomes among the ageing adults participating in simulation games. The average age of the participants was 64. All of them (N= 33) have been the students of her tutorial class “Human Relations”, at the Sydney School for Seniors (the Wesley Centre). The simulation games included “Survival”, “ Bafa–Bafa” , “Star Power”, and some games organised for the study purposes.
