Six Sigma is the name given to one of the most widely used methodologies for improving efficiency and profitability in manufacturing and production processes. Its users are trained in the basics of statistics, problem solving and project management. Shirley Coleman tells us that Six Sigma is an effective vehicle for introducing the statistics that have been available for years but have not been implemented.
