A case of campylobacter (CJC) enterocolitis is described. CJC was not recognized to be a human pathogen until a decade ago. Now it has emerged as being a major cause of enterocolitis in man. This is also true in Scandinavia. The report emphasizes the differential diagnostic problems towards ulcerative colitis in biopsy specimens from rectum.
