Inulin treated normal human serum was analysed with reference to C3d. By the use of gel filtration techniques and crossed immunoelectrophoresis, several distinct C3d populations were found having molecular weights from 40 kD to more than 150 kD and with varying electrophoretic mobility. One of the C3d species proved to be a mixed disulphide with albumin.
