The wall teichoic acid of Staphylococcus simulans has been characterized as a glycerol phosphate polymer with glycosidically linked N‐acetylglucosamine. Susceptibility toβ‐N‐acetylglucosaminidase and serological similarity to poly C β from Staphylococcus saprophyticus , showed that the amino sugar is in theβ‐configuration.
