The DNA distribution patterns in fine needle aspirates from 17 breast carcinomas were analysed, using single cell and flow cytophotometric techniques. A good correlation was observed to exist between the modal DNA values obtained by the two methods. Advantages and disadvantages of the two methods are discussed.
