Pretreatment of sera with kaolin or with heparin‐MnCl 2 occasionally leaves non‐specific rubella haemagglutination inhibitors. In doubtful cases flotation centrifugation through a NaBr solution with a density of 1.22 will distinguish inhibitor from antibody.
