Two Eschericia coli strains, one representing strains from septicaemia in chickens and the other strains from diarrhoea in piglets, were established as antigen test strains for two new E. coli O groups, O150 and O157. One of the strains was at the same time designated as K antigen test strain for a new E. coli K antigen, K92. E. coli strains with O group 150 are not uncommon among human strains.
