ON GASTROINTESTINAL CARCINOMA IN THE DOG

SUMMARY After a survey of the literature the author reports 4 new cases of gastric carcinoma and 10 of intestinal carcinoma in the dog. In the discussion the data of all known cases of gastro‐intestinal carcinoma are analysed with regard to frequency, age, sex ratio, the site of the tumours in the stomach and intestine, the type of carcinoma, their relationship to ulcers and chronic inflammation and their metastasising disposition.
