More than 20 patients with complete growth hormone (GH) deficiency have been examined by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); transection of the pituitary stalk was found in 12 patients. Radiological (1) and endocrinological (2) studies in these patients will be published elsewhere. Another two patients with complete pituitary stalk transection have recently been identified, and together with one patient with secondary GH deficiency due to head trauma are presented in this report.
