. Sherman, B. M. (Department of Clinical Research, Genentech Inc, South San Francisco, California, USA). A National Cooperative Growth Study of Protropin. Acta Paediatr Scand [Suppl] 337:106, 1987. Nearly 2000 hGH deficient patients have been enrolled in a study of Protropin and followed up for up to 1 year. This has provided valuable information on the character of this population and its response to therapy. Overall there was a predominance of males, with a disproportionate number of short mothers. The mean Protropin dose was 0.07 mg/kg, given three timedweek. There was a significant dose‐response relationship up to 0.125 mg/kg three timedweek.
