. An epidemiological study was made of 8 462 children aged 3‐15 living in the suburban area Hag Vousif, Khartoum, Sudan. The prevalence of enuresis was higher in boys than in girls. Eighty‐eight per cent wetted their beds at least several times per week. Up to the age of 9 both sexes showed prevalences which were significantly higher than comparable age/sex groups discussed in different European studies. Only 5% of the children above 7 years of age had secondary enuresis.
