. A variety of fetal anomalies can be diagnosed by ultrasonographic examinations during the antepartum period. This report describes the first Scandinavian case of Potter's syndrome detected prenatally. The syndrome must be suspected whenever the combination of intrauter‐ine growth retardation and severe oligohydramnios is seen. It is then essential to scan for the presence of fetal kidneys to establish that bilateral agenesis is not occurring.
