. A case is reported of cyclical vomiting of sufficient severity to result in both dehydration and electrolyte disturbance, culminating in grand mal seizures and pneumomediastinum with subcutaneous emphysema. Similar episodes of subcutaneous emphysema over the face and neck had been noted by the patient on previous occasions.
