. Cerebral arterial occlusions are rare in children, but they are demonstrated with increasing frequency as angiographic examination of children with acute hemiplegia becomes a routine procedure. Two cases of idiopathic cerebral thrombosis in boys, aged 6 ½ and 5 years, involving the basilar artery and the middle cerebral artery, respectively, are presented.
