Summary Hb, Htc and RBC in “capillary” (skin‐prick) and venous blood have been compared in 30 children and in 30 adults (15 males and 15 females). “Capillary” blood was obtained from a 3 mm deep puncture in the finger with a “Medipoint” blood lancet. Higher mean values were found in venous blood, particularly in the children.
