Summary Fourteen cases of infantile lobar emphysema are reported on. Operation was performed in all cases. No death occurred. The late prognosis was good. On follow‐up examination 1–10 years after operation there was no evidence of emphysema devloping in other lobes. The aetiology, diagnosis and indications for operation are discussed.
