Summary Two typical nonrelated cases of leucin‐precipitated hypoglycemia are described. Both patients showed evidence of severe atrophy of the brain. Since leucin was found to induce fits even if a fall in the blood sugar was prevented by the continuous administration of glucose, the symptoms in the syndrome of leucin‐induced hypoglycemia may not solely develop as the result of an abnormally low blood sugar level.
