SUMMARY A case of typical sprue in a boy fourteen years of age is described. Treated with folic acid, 5 mg 5 times a day for three days, after that 5 mg 3 times a day. Prompt increasing of weight but no change of the blood‐picture besides an increase of the reticulocytes. Discharged in a very good general condition without any symptoms of his illness.
