SUMMARY Three patients with infantile cortical hyperostoses (Caffey) are described. The only clinical symptom was swelling of the lower legs. Radioscopy showed extreme thickening of periosteuni, also along parts of the skelet not swollen clinically. Features not hitherto described and observed in our patients were, (1) occurrence within the same family, and (2) marked forward curvature of the tibiae.
