In scurvy there is, according to the results of previous investigators, a deficient regeneration of crythrocytes and polymorphous leukocytes, an initial hyperemia and a weakness of the vascular wall. This weakness is explained by the present author as a defective formation of the collagen connective tissue of the vessel and the lack of sufficient support from the atrophic tissue outside the vessel
