Comparison between five Nordic laboratories on scoring of human lymphocyte chromosome aberrations.— Hereditas 100 : 209–218. Lund, Sweden. ISSN 0018–0661. Received June 29, 1983 An interlaboratory comparison on scoring of chromosomal aberrations in human lymphocyte preparations and selected photomicrographs of metaphases was organized. The results showed a wide variation between laboratories in the analysis of aberrations, the source of most discrepancy being related to the existence of an aberration and to the scoring and definition of gaps. However. consistency in scoring within each separate laboratory was good, so that the same laboratory was scoring high or low for every slide. A detailed recommendation for scoring of human chromosomal aberrations for cyto‐genetic monitoring purposes is given by the Study Group.
