The electron microscope (EM) reveals 102 bands in the thin sectioned chromosome regions, where according to the two previous – the original and the revised – light microscopic (LM) maps, the band numbers are 88 and 117. Accordingly, the EM band number is about 16% higher and again about 13% lower than these LM values. The main difference between the EM data and the revised LM map is due to bands that are doublets in LM but singlets in EM.
