Enhancement by caffeine of cell killing and chromosome damage in Chinese hamster cells treated with thiotepa

Chinese hamster cells were treated with thiotepa and subsequently grown in the presence of 0.5 mM caffeine. The effect was analysed with respect to chromosome damage and cell killing. Post‐treatments with caffeine had a strong potentiating effect on both phenomena.
