The inheritance of acid phosphatase isozymes in Picea abies K. was studied by analysing five parental trees and their offspring after selfpollination and various crosses. In the zymograms one multi‐allelic locus with at least three alleles was detected. The structure of the isozymes seems to be dimeric.
