(1) A method is given for fluorochrome staining of chromosomes from biopsy material of malignant lymphomas. (2) Tumor chromosomes with apparently normal morphology concorded completely in their pattern of fluorescence with the pattern published for normal lymphocytes from short‐term blood cultures. (3) The normal fluorescence patterns of the human chromosomes were displayed by computer technique as isobrightness maps and three‐axis diagrams.
