
Culling rates in daughters of sires with a translocation of centric fusion type

Culling rates appeared to be higher than expected in daughters of translocation sires. There was a variability between daughter groups but as the individual deviations were systematic they most probably reflected a selection against translocation carriers. This was probably due to the lowered fertility earlier observed in daughter groups of translocation sires.
