Root fractures are combined injuries to the dentine, cementum, pulp and periodontal ligament. A number of questions related to the healing patterns of such injuries remain unanswered. A case report is presented in which satisfactory healing of root fractures occurred, in the absence of invasive management, over a 5‐year period.
