A case with extensive root resorption following endodontic treatment, orthodontic extrusion, and prosthetic restoration of a maxillary lateral incisor that had fractured in the cervical area due to trauma is documented. The treatment procedures are described in detail and possible reasons for the resorption are discussed. It may be classified as a cervical root resorption initiated by injury to the cervical attachment apparatus and the cervical root surface.
