Intracellular collagen fibrils in the periodontal ligament of man

Periodontal ligament from 6 teeth extracted from patients was examined electron‐microscopically for the presence of intracellular collagen fibrils. These were occasionally found in fibroblasts in the tissue from 4 teeth, but were not otherwise seen.
