Verstehen und Wahrnehmen als Widerspiel von Semiotischem und Performativem. Zum ,,cognitive turn‘‘ in den Literaturwissenschaften am Beispiel von Heinrich von Kleists Der Zweikampf (1811)

Im Kontext neuerer Literaturtheorie, die zwischen Kognitions‐ und Literaturwissenschaft argumentiert, wird Heinrich von Kleists Der Zweikampf als exemplarischer Text analysiert, der ein Widerspiel von Verstehen und Wahrnehmen als Dialektik von Semiotischem und Performativem beschreibt. Im Zentrum der Untersuchung steht die Frage nach Wahrheit, über die sich (poetischer) Text und (literarische) Theorie durchkreuzen. In the context of current literary theory, which argues on the border of cognitive and literary science, Heinrich von Kleist's Der Zweikampf is analyzed as a paradigmatic text that offers a counter‐play between understanding and perceiving as a dialectics of the semiotic and the performative. The main focus of the investigation lies on the question of truth, in which (poetic) text and (literary) theory intersect.
