— Low retention of fissure sealant in primary teeth could be due to insufficient moisture‐control in young children. In the present study 10 primary maxillary second molars and 29 primary mandibular molars were sealed using rubber darn while their contralateral teeth were sealed using cotton rolls. No difference in the retention of the sealant could be demonstrated.
