— Ten patients with severe Candida albicans induced denture stomatitis were tested for qualitative defects in their neutrophilic leukocyte phagocytic function. All patients showed normal phagocytic indices in vitro . Our results support the view that local factors are of utmost importance for the development of Candida‐induced denture stomatitis.
