– As part of a clinical trial among schoolchildren in a suburban community just outside Oslo, dental preventive behavior was studied by means of mailed questionnaires, In all, 340 mothers, i.e. 95% of the sample, filled out and returned the forms. The results indicate a distinct and improving preventive attitude in the target population. The age of the family was the most influential background variable.
