abstract — The presence of hyaluronoglucosidase (EC 3.2.1.35; hyaluronidase), β‐N‐ace‐tylglucosaminidase (EC 3.2.1.30), exo‐l,4‐β‐xylosidase (EC 3.2.1.37), and arylsulfatase (EC 3.1.6.1) in dentinogenically active odontoblasts isolated from the rat incisor has been demonstrated by means of biochemical methods. The possible function of these enzymes in relation to the calcification process is discussed.
