A juvenile rhesus macaque (Macaca mulatto) developed a symmetrical erosive polyarthritis involving both large and small diarthroidial joints. Neither an infectious nor a metabolic etiology could be determined. This case shares many clinical and pathological features with the polyarticular form of human juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.
