A cutaneous tumor was surgically removed from a 10‐year‐old, male Barbary ape ( Macaca sylvanus ). Histologically, the tumor was primarily adnexoid in nature and contained structures that resembled abortive hair follicles. The tumor was diagnosed as a trichoepithelioma.
