We describe a non‐radiolabelled method for the in situ detection of epidermal cytokine mRNA in paraffin sections of skin biopsies from sites of nickel contact sensitivity. The method uses fluorescein isothiocyan‐ate‐labelled oligonucleotide exon probe cocktails.
